About us

Dave and Charlotte Rives opened Discount Home Center in 1975. A few years after opening, the store was renamed True Value Home Center and in mid-2019, we became an independent store, Simi Hardware & Rock Depot. While Dave and Charlotte have passed, the business continues with daughter Cindy and granddaughter Christina. In total, our family owned and operated store has been proudly serving the community for over 45 years.

  • Wag ‘n Walk – An annual 3 mile charity dog walk event helps to raise funds for the Animal Rescue Volunteers (ARV) of Simi Valley, CA. ARV rescues, rehabilitates and re-homes abandoned and abused animals into loving forever homes.
  • Cowboys and Cabernet – Kiwanis of Simi Valley annual fundraiser supporting student-led community service organizations on school campuses, dozens of students each year to attend the Key Leader Camp, seven high school scholarships, Hope of America award for 6th and 8th grade students, senior programs, and many other
    community programs.
